Hey there! I'm Keegan Bratt, the founder of Project Jesus. My goal for this clothing business was always to empower my fellow Christians to use their gifts to further our Fathers' Kingdom. I always felt a calling to use my gifts for the glory of God. I just didn't know how.
Something that God used to help me was by using my love for the outdoors and traveling. I am constantly blown away (and still am) at how creative our God is. Places like the Grand Canyon, the Rocky Mountains, and other places really showed me how crazy creative He is.
I was always pretty creative growing up, and I still am. As I began growing in my relationship with God, I felt a stronger calling to create. I had a passion for business, and a passion for creating things. So it only made sense for me to try putting those two together.
I understand that it's actually much more difficult to find our calling from God than how I explained my journey, but I wanted to make this brand to be a reminder that we all have gifts and we are all called to use them for God's glory.
IDEA
The idea was always in my head. Well, at least since about July of 2024.
That being said, I had a lot of things I was focusing on. Being a college student, competing in cross country and track and field, working a job, and maintaining a social life took a lot out of me.
And all during that, I was trying to grow closer to God, but external priorities took center stage and I eventually got consumed by all of my responsibilities and obligations. It was for that time, for a good handful of months, that my goal of starting a Christian clothing brand looked like it was going to fizzle out.
But the idea never truly left me.
ACTION
When Summer of 2025 rolled around, the ol' Project Jesus plan came back to light, blowing the dust off of it that had collected over the months.
I'm not sure what (or who) exactly had encouraged me to dust off said plan, but it was dusted off nonetheless. The beginning of Summer '25 seemed like a great opportunity to get some serious traction on this whole thing. And it wasn't only that.
I was provided with an opportunity. A great one. Christian contemporary artist Josiah Queen had recently dropped a new album, and I wanted to try and design a t-shirt based off of it, in the hopes of giving it to him at one of his concerts he had scheduled for on his 2025 Mt. Zion tour.
And, well, by God's will and His hand, it somehow happened.
I was given permission to sell the t-shirt and put it on my website, and, well, the rest is history.
GOAL IMPACT
The name Project Jesus, in my mind, not only sounded cool, but it also symbolized the idea that we as Christ-followers are called to serve our God with our many talents and gifts that He has given us. On of my favorite parables that Jesus told is, in fact, the The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30)
In short, it highlights the importance of using our gifts as tools and vessels to point people to the Kingdom of Heaven. We are all entrusted with different levels of talents and different skills, and Jesus himself tells us to be good stewards of the things that God has entrusted us with.
Asking God how He can help you be a good steward of the gifts you've been given is a great way to start, because I understand that it's difficult to see how exactly God wants to use you. He showed me.
